The Therapeutic Approach

Strengths-Based

Every person carries resilience. Therapy begins with identifying and building on existing strengths rather than focusing solely on deficits or diagnoses.

Trauma-Informed

Recognizing the widespread impact of trauma and integrating principles of safety, trustworthiness, choice, and collaboration into every session.

Developmentally Attuned

Meeting clients where they are — developmentally, emotionally, and culturally — with play-based and expressive modalities for younger clients.

Evidence-Based

Drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused approaches, and other validated modalities to guide effective, goal-oriented treatment.

Collaborative

Working closely with families, schools, and community providers to build consistent, wraparound support that extends beyond the therapy room.

Culturally Responsive

Committed to creating an inclusive, nonjudgmental space that honors each client's identity, background, and lived experience.
